Epitope Mapping

Customer just needs to provide a small amount of antibody and the sequence information.

The expected timeline for your project is 2 to 3 months depending on the size of your protein.

Step Process  Timeline
(depend on size of protein)
<200 a.a. 201-500 a.a. 500-1000 a.a. >1000 a.a.

2 Epitope expression & Assay set up 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks
3 Epitope mapping assay 1 week 2 weeks 2 weeks 2 weeks
4 Validation assay 1 week 1 week 1 week 1 week
5 Report & Recommendations 1 week 1 week 1 week 1 week

We will discuss the best strategy for mapping your antibody’s epitope. If your antigen is a very big protein, we may recommend mapping the epitope in a 2-step process. First, we will divide the protein into several fragments and test antibody binding to each fragment.  In the second step, the precise epitope will be mapped to amino acid residue level on that fragment. Finally, we will perform a validation assay to demonstrate that the identified epitope can specifically block the binding of your antibody to the full-length antigen.

Biomarker Detection

We can make multiplex biomarker measurements into a non-label, quantifiable, and easy-to-use assay.  Only one antibody is needed per analyte protein (biomarker).

Assay development timeline will largely depend on the complexity of your assay and the availability of the reagents.  If you have all the antibodies ready for your biomarkers, it will take about 2 months to develop and optimize your assay.
